Terms of Service

Effective and last updated: July 25, 2026

1. Agreement

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of bouldr.dev, the Bouldr Windows application, and related services (collectively, the "Service"). By creating an account, purchasing a plan or credits, downloading the app, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

You must be at least 16 years old and legally able to enter into these Terms. If you use Bouldr for an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind it.

2. The Service

Bouldr provides live transcription, AI-generated interview coaching, session review, preparation tools, and privacy controls for a desktop coaching window. Features may require internet access, microphone or system-audio permissions, a supported version of Windows, and third-party services.

Screen-capture exclusion and similar privacy controls depend on Windows and the software used to share or record your screen. They are not guaranteed to work with every capture method. Always test your setup and avoid displaying information you cannot risk sharing.

3. Accounts and security

You must provide accurate account information, keep your password and devices secure, and promptly notify us of suspected unauthorized access. You are responsible for activity under your account. You may not sell, transfer, share, or provide unauthorized access to your account or authentication credentials.

4. Responsible use

You are responsible for determining whether using transcription, recording-related features, AI assistance, or an on-screen coaching tool is permitted in your interview or meeting. You must obtain any consent required by law and follow applicable employer, recruiter, platform, assessment, confidentiality, and interview rules.

You may not use the Service to:

  • break the law, violate another person's rights, or breach a duty of confidentiality;
  • impersonate another person, materially misrepresent your qualifications, or facilitate fraud or deception;
  • submit content you do not have permission to process, including sensitive personal or proprietary information;
  • bypass usage limits, probe or disrupt the Service, distribute malware, scrape the Service, or attempt unauthorized access;
  • reverse engineer or redistribute the Service except where that restriction is prohibited by law; or
  • use outputs to make unlawful high-impact decisions about another person.

5. AI outputs

AI-generated suggestions and reviews can be inaccurate, incomplete, generic, or inappropriate. They are provided as optional coaching aids, not as factual, legal, employment, or professional advice. You are responsible for reviewing outputs, speaking truthfully, and deciding what to say or use. Bouldr does not guarantee interview performance, employment, an offer, or any particular result.

6. Plans, credits, and payment

  • Prices, included features, credit costs, billing intervals, and renewal terms are shown before purchase. Taxes may apply.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically until canceled. You may manage or cancel a subscription through the billing portal; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period unless stated otherwise.
  • Plan credits may reset or expire at the end of a billing period. Purchased credit packs do not reset with monthly plan credits, but are non-transferable and have no cash value.
  • We may apply reasonable usage and abuse-prevention limits to protect Service availability.

Refund eligibility is described in our Refund Policy. Payment processing is provided by Stripe and is also subject to Stripe's terms.

7. Your content

You retain ownership of content you provide. You grant Bouldr a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, transmit, process, and display that content only as needed to operate, secure, and support the Service. You represent that you have the rights and permissions needed for the content you submit.

8. Bouldr's rights

The Service, including its software, design, branding, and documentation, is owned by Bouldr or its licensors and protected by intellectual-property laws. Subject to these Terms, Bouldr grants you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the desktop application and Service for your personal or internal business use.

9. Third-party services

The Service relies on third parties for hosting, payments, transcription, and AI generation. Their services and terms are outside our control. We are not responsible for third-party services, websites, or interruptions, though we will use reasonable efforts to keep Bouldr available.

10. Suspension and termination

You may stop using Bouldr at any time. We may suspend or terminate access when reasonably necessary to address a Terms violation, security risk, nonpayment, legal requirement, abuse, or harm to the Service or others. Where practical, we will provide notice and an opportunity to resolve the issue.

11. Disclaimers and liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available." Bouldr disclaims implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and uninterrupted or error-free operation.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Bouldr will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, opportunities, data, or goodwill. Bouldr's aggregate liability arising from the Service will not exceed the greater of US$100 or the amount you paid Bouldr during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. These limitations do not apply where prohibited by law.

12. Changes and general terms

We may update the Service or these Terms. If a change materially affects your rights, we will provide reasonable notice when required. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. If any provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver, and you may not assign these Terms without our consent.
